Clinical Services

Since 1980 Amundson & Associates has provided clinical services to individuals of all ages, couples, and families. These services range from consultation and psychotherapy through formal evaluation and assessment. All work is undertaken by psychologists and performed consistent with generally accepted standards of clinical practice and the licensure requirements and expectations of the College of Alberta Psychologists and the Psychologists Association of Alberta in particular.

Our patients have come not only from the general public, Employee Assistance Programs serving large corporations, and government sectors, but the legal and court systems of Alberta as well. Clinical services provided include but are not limited to:


     
  • High conflict divorce / parenting consultation and treatment, involving mediation, coordination, and therapy for adults and children involved.
     
  • Legal / forensic support in the evaluation of adults, children and teens, especially in the areas of criminal offences and custody / access matters.
     
  • Training, consultation and supervision with individuals, agencies and organizations, related to standards of practice and licensure in psychology, marriage and family therapy, time efficient models of psychotherapy and custody / access concerns.
     
  • Individual psychotherapy for children, teens and adults.
     
  • Family and marital therapy and post-separation support through divorce mediation and arbitration.
     
  • Health care and illness focused psychotherapy and evaluation, especially in the area of chronic pain.
     
  • School / educational assessment for children and adolescents with unique learning styles and needs, attention and behavior problems, and consultation for their families.
     
  • Rollercoaster of Change *Kids (ROC*K): A group process to facilitate change for children from separating/divorcing families.
